Room 73 Grade 2 2018 2019

Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a great week; it was wonderful to see so many of you at the concert performances.  The children put on such a great show; I was very proud of their great big voices.  There were so many songs/lines to learn!!  Well done 73 :) Next week looks like it is going to be lots of fun: caroling in the gym, Movie/PJ day Thursday afternoon, a Christmas scavenger hunt with our grade 1 buddies, and Constable Mattice is coming to the class Tuesday morning to teach a lesson about 'bucket filling' with acts of kindness.  Because Constable Mattice is in Tuesday morning, I switched library to Monday morning. Squished in between all of these fun activities will be descriptive writing, Character studies, math skills/problem solving, magnet games, Nunavut/Iqaluit introduction and embedding personality into art . . . Hello Everyone, I hope you are all having a good week; I know that it is getting busier by the second so am also hoping you get some time to rest and relax a little bit!  There are still some wicked colds going around so please let your little ones know that we missed those who are away and are excited to have them back with us when they are feeling better! Our concert is this Wednesday; 2 tickets per family went home with the children Wednesday night.  For those of you who requested extras to be put on the waitlist, you won't receive those tickets until the office has numbers as per who won't be attending.  On that note, if you aren't able to come can you please let the office know so that they can forward you tickets to those on the waiting list.  Thank you also so very much to the families who were able to shop for the Christmas bags.  What thoughtful and generous collections!!  We will start bagging next week.
